This week Clever had the opportunity to visit The Hub offices in Burbank, CA.
As we walked through the doors, we were greeted by a giant Mr. Potato Head. We got to witness how The Hub brand comes to life in their unique and playful environment. Hub goodies were EVERYWHERE; Connect Four, Strawberry Shortcake and My Little Pony dolls, even an original JEM lunchbox from the 80’s (big ups Maytal)!
We were simply in awe and had such an amazing time. A HUGE thanks to Amber and the rest of the amazing Hub team for showing us around!

It’s official. Summer is here. And make no mistake: Clever. Loves. Summer.
The beach, bike rides, popsicles, ball games, sun-kissed skin, watermelon, backyard bbq’s, swings, parks, vacation, outdoor movies..
With only a few months of “official” summer, we have a few suggestions on how to make the most of summer ‘11
• Outdoor cinema food fest (classic films and tons of food trucks: win win):
• Root, root, root for the home team (or your favorite team when they are in town): Dodger tickets
• Anything, ANYTHING at the Hollywood Bowl, summer isn’t complete without a trip to the bowl: Our recommendation? The Grease sing-a-long
• A trip to the bowl isn’t complete without a picnic, so we recommend The Larder:
• Runyon Canyon has more to offer than just beautiful views and great hikes, take in a “by donation” yoga class:
• Feeling adventurous? Try one of these city races.. think Amazing Race meets LA:
• Remember the infamous Rhino Records? Well they are back! Well.. sort of… don’t miss their pop up store, free concerts and classic vinyl records:
• Need a change of scenery? Try Palm Springs, Ojai, Santa Barbara, Solvang, Arrowhead.. All close enough to make it a fun day trip, but far enough that if you want to make it a weekend, it’s doable. Check for good deals

Clever Creative // 2009 HOW Conference
Fell in love with the art + fashions of south congress st. in Austin, Texas last week.
Kept cool at the HOW Conference despite the 104F weather all week. More details on our run-in with lengendary designer David Carson and the guys from Hoops & Yoyo! Interesting workshops and great typography exhibit left us inspired!
