I love it when talk of logos appear on ESPN’s homepage:

“If the European Tour is going to change its silhouette to honor one of its greats—Seve Ballesteros—shouldn’t the PGA Tour do it? After all, even the PGA Tour doesn’t know who the logo is now. Some say it was patterned after Johnny Miller. Some say it looks like Tom Weiskopf. The tour says it’s been changed so many times that it’s really nobody. Which suggested logo is your favorite? Personally, the Jon Daly one is kind of amazing.

Mad Men Type Bio

The hit TV show, Mad Men, based on an advertisement firm in the late 60’s, uses unique logos based on the font Sterling Cooper. This show cooperates a lot of different older cool looking fonts. The show uses a lot of “computer based” fonts such as Helvetica, Gotham, and Bookman Old Style. While the fonts are a great touch, the show also has a lot of cool graphics, using black and white sketches and older magazine logos.
